 A computer system

A computer system is one that is able to take a set of inputs, process them and create a set of outputs. This is done by a combination of hardware and software.
The computer system has one or more inputs to provide data. This data is then processed in some way. The outcome of the processing is sent to an output or it may be stored until some event happens to cause it to be output.
For processing to take place, there needs to be a set of instructions of what needs to be done. This set of instructions is called a program.
A computer system consists of four major hardware component;input devices, output devices, processor and storage devices.
A computer system requires hardware, software and a user to fully function.
COMPUTER HARDWARE
INPUT DEVICES
input device is any peripheral (piece of computer hardware equipment) used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or other information appliance. Examples of input devices include keyboardsmicescannersdigital cameras and joysticks.
KEYBOARD
MOUSE
MICROPHONE
PROCESSOR
The CPU is an example of a processor. It has the same important as the brain to human being.
OUTPUT DEVICES
An output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment used to communicate the results of data processing carried out by an information processing system (such as a computer) which converts the electronically generated information into human-readable form.
SPEAKER
MONITOR
PRINTER
STORAGE DEVICES
Storage usually means secondary storage. It consist secondary storage devices such as hardisk,CD ROM,DVD ROM and Flash Drive.
HARDISK
CD ROM
DVD ROM
FLASH DRIVES
COMPUTER SOFTWARE
Computer software, or just software, is any set of machine-readable instructions (most often in the form of a computer program) that directs a computer's processor to perform specific operations. The term is used to contrast with computer hardware, the physical objects (processor and related devices) that carry out the instructions.
SYSTEM SOFTWARE
basic software needed for a computer to operate (most notably the operating system).
APPLICATION SOFTWARE
all the software that uses the computer system to perform useful work beyond the operation of the computer itself.
